Happy Thanksgiving! We are so glad to have you with us through the holidays this year. We hope that you’re celebrating the things you’re grateful for in the safest way possible.

As a reminder, Modio observes Thanksgiving Day as well as the Friday following, so our offices will be closed tomorrow Thurs 11/26 – Fri 11/27. If you need to reach us, please send our support team an email and we’ll respond as soon as possible.

Now let’s talk about what’s new!

DEA Updater:

  • We sent out communication several times in the past month about the change in our DEA data source due to the discontinuation of the NTIS service (you can read more about it here). We are still able to verify DEA licenses via the USDOJ service at this time, but please note that you will need to store a valid SSN on your providers’ profiles in order to use this service. We will be publishing additional updates regarding DEA verifications as we pursue new options!

  • We also fixed an issue causing DEA licenses to disappear if the State field was left blank for multiple licenses. (We do encourage you to use the State field whenever possible for accuracy, however!)

State License Updaters:

  • Alabama – Fixed verification issue for controlled substance licenses
  • Georgia – Fixed verification issue for MD licenses
  • North Carolina – New medical board website
  • Oklahoma – Added support for disciplinary actions for the optometry board
  • Oregon – New website for counseling/therapy licenses
  • South Carolina – Fixed verification issue for controlled substance licenses
